ECOWAS Commissioner of Energy and Mines
Dr. Morlaye Bangoura is the ECOWAS Commissioner for Energy and Mines. He was formerly the CEO of the national electricity company of the Republic of Guinea. Dr. BANGOURA has also served as a member of the technical committees of the West Africa Power Pool (WAPP), the Union of Producers, Transporters and Distributors of Electric Power in Africa (UPDEA). Dr. Bangoura also taught at the Minsk Polytechnic Institute and the Polytechnic Institute of Conakry. He holds a PhD in Technical Sciences and Philosophy from the Polytechnic Institute of Belarus (ex USSR), and an MBA in Business Management from HEC Montreal, Canada and a Master of Science from the Polytechnic Institute of Minsk.
