Head of EU|BIC Services of the European BIC Network (EBN)

Giordano is the Head of EU|BIC Services of the European BIC Network. With 19 years of experience in private sector development gained by working on the field with international and local actors (such as UNOPS, ILO, EU|BIC Lazio and EBN), He believes the next game-changing innovations are around the corner, and that incubators and accelerators are the natural place where these can be properly bred. He is now in charge of the EBN network development and of the management of the EUBIC trademark, the only existing European standards of innovation-based incubation, making sure that the prestigious EU|BIC label is properly placed within the incubators that meet the EU|BIC Quality Mark Criteria. He is responsible for the production of the quantitative and qualitative reports of the EBN BIC community, which he produces as a service for the EBN members and at the request of third organizations (such as the European Court of Auditors and the European Commission). Giordano has been responsible for the management of incubator set-up and enhancement actions in many countries, including Indonesia, Senegal, Palestine, Jordan, Ukraine, France, Portugal and Italy. He has carried out many incubator-assessment missions (in Russia, Taiwan, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, France, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Bulgaria, UK, Syria, Palestine). In the past he has worked for the United Nations (UNOPS and ILO) where he supported local economic development actions mainly in the Balkans and he has worked for the Regional Business and Innovation Centre of the Lazio Region in Italy. Giordano holds a degree in Economics obtained at the University of Siena, Italy. He is married and has an 11-year old son.
