Santiago Creuheras

Director for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, Deputy Ministry for Planning and Energy Transition, Mexico

Santiago Creuheras is currently the Director General of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability at the Ministry of Energy of Mexico. He served as Chairman for the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation.

Previously, he has held various positions in the public sector among them Advisor to the Minister of Energy, Advisor to the Minister of Finance and Public Credit, Deputy Director General for Domestic and Foreign Policy at the Office of the President of Mexico, and Director General for Labor Training at Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Mexico.

Santiago completed his bachelor´s degree in Economics at the University of the Americas in Puebla, Mexico, and he obtained two master degrees in Government and Economic History from Harvard University, U.S.A. He obtained a Master´s degree in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge, U.K.
