How to get there

From the airport to the city center

Vienna International Airport is about 16 km east of Vienna. The city center can be reached quickly and in comfort by public transport.

City Airport Train
only 16 minutes transfer time between the airport and Wien Mitte;

Plies between the airport and Wien Mitte/Landstrasse;
Frequency: every 30 minutes

Airport bus of the Vienna Airport Lines

Plies between the airport and the city center;

From the city to the Vienna International Center (VIC) and Hofburg Vienna

Public transportation in Vienna is easy and efficient. In order to minimize your ecological footprint during the conference we encourage you to use the public means of transportation to travel to the conference venues – Vienna International Center and Hofburg Vienna. Arriving by Citybike

The Citybike Wien system is an innovative and environmentally friendly means of public transport and not a conventional bike rental system. You can hire bikes at more than 90 bike stations across Vienna and return them at any station. To use Citybike Wien services, one-time registration is required – via the Internet or directly at a Citybike terminal. Registration is possible by using a MAESTRO card, a credit card from VISA, a Master-Card or JCB credit card. The onetime registration fee is 1,00 € only, and after that the first hour of every ride is free of charge. More information on www.citybikewien.at.

Green Taxi

Call an eco-friendly taxi with hybrid or natural gas-powered engines by dialing 0043-1-40100 and asking for a “Green Taxi”. There is no difference in price over a ride in a conventional taxi.
