Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Bahrain
Prior to his appointment in 2016, H.E. Dr. Mirza held six other Ministerial positions, including Minister of State, Minister of Oil and Gas Affairs and Minister of Energy.
His experience in the oil industry spans over 53 years, during which he was entrusted with many executive positions. He was Chairman of Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company, of Tatweer Petroleum and of Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), where he was a member of the Executive Committee for over 25 years.
His Excellency was appointed by His Majesty the King as a member of the 2001/2002 Shura Council. He is currently a member of the Supreme Committee for Natural Resources and Economic Security and of the Supreme Urban Planning Committee chaired by HH Crown Prince, as well as the Ministerial Water Resources Council and the Ministerial Committee for Infrastructure and Services.
Dr Mirza was awarded a PhD Doctorate in Management Change from Middlesex University in London.
