Livan Arronte Cruz

Minister of Energy and Mining of Cuba

Mr. Arrnote Cruz began working in 1992 as a Practicing Engineer in the Power Plant Maintenance Company, of which he became its director. He was also General Director of the Electricity Union, Vice-Minister and Minister of Energy and Mines of the Republic of Cuba.
He has a Master’s degree in Business Management, has completed two trainings, a Diploma in Business Management, and holds postgraduate degrees in Integrated Project Management and MINEM courses.

As UNE Director General, he was awarded the Labor Prowess Flag of the Cuban Workers’ Central (CTC) twice, for his work in post-hurricane recovery efforts—Matthew and Irma. He has also been awarded by the Minister of Energy and Mines and the Union of Energy and Mines.

He obtained the “Ñico López” Distinction for 25 years of service in the sector and the CTC 75th Anniversary Seal, an award for contributing to comprehensive development. He is a Deputy in the Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular of the Republic of Cuba.
