Mr. Paolo Frankl, Head, Renewable Energy Division, IEA
Paolo Frankl is Head of the Renewable Energy Division at the IEA. Dr. Frankl leads the IEA’s work on renewable energy, providing policy advice in the areas of technology, markets and systems integration. He is the member of several international advisory committees. A physicist by training, Dr. Frankl holds a Ph.D. in energy and environmental technologies from the University of Rome. Dr. Frankl has over twenty years of experience working on renewable energy systems and markets, life cycle assessment and eco-labelling. From 2000 to 2002 he served as Advisor to the Director-General of the Italian Ministry for the Environment.
