Technical General Manager, Toyota Motor Europe (TME)
Dr. Stephan Herbst is a Technical General Manager of Toyota Motor Europe (TME) with specific responsibility for future low carbon mobility.
Stephan studied business administration and economics and then worked for seven years in various functions for the Volkswagen Group in Germany and China. In 2005 he joined TME as a manager being responsible for the environmental strategy in Europe before moving to Toyota’s Global Headquarters in Japan in 2010.
He was actively involved in various mobility projects of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) such as Sustainable Mobility Project 1.0, Mobility for Development and is today co-leading the Sustainable Mobility Project 2.0.
