Nato Balavdze


Nato Balavadze was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia. This year she completed her Bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Management at Bocconi University of Milan, Italy. She is passionate about social and public policies as well as development economics.

Prior to joining UNIDO, Department of Investment and Technology Promotion, Nato interned at the Public Institutions and Digital Government Branch, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs for 6 months. She did 3-month internships at the National Bank of Georgia and the Ministry of Finance of Georgia respectively. Recently, she has been working part-time for Rosa & Roubini, a macro-financial research and advisory company. Nato is part of the Bocconi Student Ambassador Team, where she represents Bocconi University during university fairs and info sessions. 

Being passionate about social and public policies, she intends to contribute her time, skills, and knowledge to tackle development and social issues affecting the young. As she plans to pursue her Master’s degree in development studies, Nato is very much interested in developing countries and she is eager to learn more about the realities and complex challenges young people face today.

Nato speaks English, Russian, Georgian, Italian and some French. She is a true cinephile and ardent skier.
