Director and Chief Researcher, 21st Century Public Policy Institute
Sumiko is Director and Chief Researcher at 21st Century Public Policy Institute, a public policy think tank of Keidanren, Japan. She is also General Manager and Chief Researcher at International Environment and Economy Institute, and visiting professor at Tsukuba University, Japan. At Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), she had engaged in preservation activities of the wetland “Oze”, a national park, for more than 10 years. She has served for various committees for government of Japan including Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
